Go Coastal
COMING SOON! SUMMER 2020

ActiveSGV is leading a series of transit (Metro, Metrolink) and active transportation (greenway bicycle rides) trips, focusing on multi-generational families and students. The bi-lingual program integrates education on upstream impacts from the San Gabriel watershed, including education on the effects of single-use plastics on the coast and opportunities for inland communities to help mitigate these impacts.
ActiveSGV is hosting  Active Transportation training rides and long-distance "Adventure" rides from the San Gabriel Valley to the Coast (rides along the San Gabriel and Rio Hondo River trails) and "Transit Tours" utilizing Metro, Metrolink, and Los Angeles County Seasonal “Beach Bus” Program.
The “#GoCoastal” project intends to introduce residents of the San Gabriel Valley’s most pollution-burdened and park-poor communities to coastal communities by providing a coastal experience for people that may face challenges getting to or enjoying the coast while increasing stewardship of coastal resources.
