Dat and his family immigrated from Vietnam, moving to the U.S. when he was ten years old and settling in South El Monte, where they have lived for over 10 years. He graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in Landscape Architecture.
As a lifelong learner, Dat continuously seeks opportunities to grow and to uplift those around him in working toward shared goals. He is passionate about designing gardens and communal spaces that promote health and wellness, and finds inspiration in spending time in nature — whether through photography, sketching, or watercoloring.
