ActiveSGV is working in partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Public Health to provide nutrition education, produce access and physical activity classes to the San Gabriel Valley and East Los Angeles communities through a variety of programing.
Through the partnership with Pasadena Unified School District, Active SGV’s team provides bilingual direct nutrition education to PUSD students and their parents, as well as through the district’s monthly Produce Distribution services. Our team also provides bilingual (English/Spanish) nutrition education and physical activity programing in the San Gabriel Valley and East Los Angeles at local parks, gardens and community centers.
Our goal is to serve as a resource for our community to access fresh produce, education and physical activity and ultimately lead to greater access to healthy living. For more information and resources on Cal Fresh, click HERE.

Yoga and Nutrition Education Classes
Jeff Seymour Family Center
FREE Yoga and Nutrition Classes at the Jeff Seymour Family Center. Classes will be offered at Bilingual (English and Spanish) and open to all-levels. We will meet in the cafeteria. Please bring your own blanket and/or yoga mat. Dress Comfy!

Eco-Urban Gardens
Gather with us and Eco-Urban Gardens every first Saturday and Sunday of the month through October 2023! We’ll be sharing yummy seasonal foods & talking about food systems, meal planning, and food waste. Classes are in English/Spanish.
When: Every first Saturday of the month at Arroyo High School (4921 Cedar Ave, El Monte, CA), and every first Sunday of the month at La Madera (3805 La Madera Ave, El Monte, CA)

Yoga and Produce Distributions
LA State Historic Park
Join us and APIFM once a month on Thursday at LA State Historic Park for some fresh made to-go snacks, light yoga on the lawn, and a FREE produce box. Produce boxes are distributed on a first come-first serve basis and given a ticket to confirm your box. Arriving early is highly recommended.
