![]() The Asian Pacific Islander Obesity Prevention Alliance (APIOPA) has initiated a two month program with high school youth in Chinatown to engage in physical activity while gaining a deeper understanding for urban planning. Essentially, youth will explore the span of Los Angeles County via bicycle as they ride approximately 5,000 miles - the equivalent distance from LA to China. Those who satisfactorily complete the project will ultimately earn and keep a bicycle. Please visit the "Bike to China" webpage for more information. The final bike ride to complete the journey is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Pioneer Park, El Monte. Detailed information is as follows: Agenda: 9:30 AM - Meet at Pioneer Park (3535 Santa Anita Ave, El Monte, CA 91731) 10:00 AM - Begin Ride 1:00 PM - Lunch 5:45 PM - Arrive back at Pioneer Park Remember to Bring: 1.
