The City of Baldwin Park will soon have a new path connecting bikers and pedestrians to key places in the community, Baldwin Park Greenway!

Once construction is complete, the Baldwin Park Greenway will stretch along the San Gabriel River, from Ramona Blvd. to Walnut Creek Nature Park with over five miles of protected path separated from vehicular traffic. A future 2.8-mile section will connect Walnut Creek Nature Park with Hilda L. Solis Park.

Users will be able to enjoy beautiful views, a scenic gateway into Walnut Creek Nature Park and amenities such as water fountains, picnic areas, bicycle fix-it stations and more. The Baldwin Park Greenway will be ADA-accessible for wheelchairs and motorized scooters.

The ActiveSGV Rain Gardens Team invites you to volunteer with us! Together we’ll be transforming a community member's garden into a water-saving, habitat-rich ecosystem — and you’ll learn practical skills you can use at home. What you’ll learn: Our team will walk you through the sheet mulching process — an eco-friendly technique that removes lawns while improving soil health. You’ll see how it works and learn tips for handling different types of grass. You’ll also see how we shape the ground to create swales and capture precious rain, allowing the garden to thrive with minimal watering.
