🎓 Congratulations to all the recipients of the Beatriz Solis Scholarship, with a special shoutout to Arlyn Sanchez and Kelsey Salazar from La Puente High School! 🌟

The Beatriz Solis Scholarship is named in honor of Dr. Beatriz Solis, a dedicated public health advocate and Program Director of Healthy Communities at The California Endowment. A graduate of La Puente High School who pursued her advanced degrees at UCLA, Dr. Solis committed her career to translating love into justice through public health policies that emphasize economic, environmental, and racial justice.

The scholarship is designed to support high school seniors from schools that played a significant role in Dr. Solis's life and career, including Roosevelt High School, Mendez High School, La Puente High School, and South Pasadena High School. The scholarship awards range from $300 to $750, aiming to assist students who are planning to pursue higher education at four-year universities, two-year colleges, or accredited trade schools. Attention is given to students interested in fields such as History, Latin American Studies, Anthropology, Photography, Public Health, or Urban Planning.
